Plastex Caspian

The Caspian Region’s Dedicated Platform for the Plastics and Polymers Industry

Plastex Caspian is Azerbaijan’s only specialized exhibition for the plastics and polymers industry, providing a gateway for global manufacturers, suppliers, and professional buyers to access the rapidly growing markets of Azerbaijan and the CIS region. As the key annual gathering for the plastics sector in the Caspian region, the exhibition brings together the complete industry chain—from raw materials and machinery to finished product applications.

Event Details

The 5th Caspian International Plastics and Polymers Industry Exhibition (Plastex Caspian 2026) will take place from 14 to 16 October 2026 at the Baku Expo Center in Baku, Azerbaijan. The event is organized by Caspian Event Organisers LLC and forms a key part of Caspian Construction Week, held concurrently with BakuBuild, Rebuild Karabakh, Aquatherm Baku, and other specialized exhibitions.

This joint format creates significant synergies for exhibitors. Participants in Plastex Caspian gain direct access to an expanded professional audience from the construction, engineering, development, and government sectors, including construction companies, manufacturers, developers, design firms, engineering solution providers, and potential clients.

Exhibition Sectors

Plastex Caspian covers the full spectrum of the plastics and polymers industry. The main product categories include:

  • Raw materials and chemicals: polyethylene, polypropylene, PVC, additives and fillers, colorants and masterbatches, bioplastics and sustainable polymers
  • Machinery and equipment: extrusion and injection molding machines, blow molding technology, recycling and waste management systems, 3D printing technology
  • Finished products and applications: packaging solutions, automotive components, construction materials, consumer goods

The exhibition also covers molds and tooling, quality control, and auxiliary equipment as part of its supporting products and services.

Market Context and Industry Opportunities

Azerbaijan’s plastics and polymers sector is experiencing rapid growth. Several factors are driving the expansion of this market:

The reconstruction of Karabakh is generating substantial demand for construction materials, directly boosting consumption of plastic building materials, pipes, and packaging. Growing demand in the construction, packaging, and industrial sectors is creating new market space for plastics and polymer products. At the same time, sustainable materials and innovative recycling technologies are attracting increasing attention, reflecting the industry’s shift toward green transformation. Azerbaijan’s rubber and plastics output grew in 2024, demonstrating the sector’s adaptability and potential for sustainable development.

Plastex Caspian provides international companies with a direct channel into the Azerbaijani and CIS markets. Exhibitors can showcase innovative products, reach target audiences, establish B2B connections, and gain insight into the specific needs of the regional market.

Historical Background

Plastex Caspian is a member of the globally recognized Plastex exhibition brand, which also includes major plastics industry exhibitions held in Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan.

The exhibition’s history dates back to 2011, when the first Plastex Caspian was held in Baku in May of that year. It brought together around 20 companies from Azerbaijan, Austria, Germany, Turkey, and CIS countries, including Azerkhimya, Sumgait Technology Park, Petkim TP, Textima, and Zeppelin. Austria and Germany also organized national stands.

The second edition was held in 2012, and the third in 2014. After a gap of several years, the exhibition returned in 2025 as the 4th edition, relaunched as part of Caspian Construction Week. The 5th edition in 2026 coincides with an anniversary year and is expected to attract broader international participation.

Why Exhibit

For companies in the plastics and polymers industry, Plastex Caspian offers multiple business benefits:
