The event has become a true national brand, securing its place in the business calendar of international companies operating in the region.

The 30th Anniversary edition in 2025 was a landmark event, with 299 companies from 17 countries participating across the exhibitions. Germany, Italy, Uzbekistan, and Türkiye were represented with national pavilions. The Italian Trade Agency (ICE) organized a collective participation of Italian companies in the construction, architecture, and design sectors, reflecting the growing interest of international businesses in the Azerbaijani market.

International Participation

BakuBuild consistently attracts strong international participation. In recent editions, companies from the following countries have been represented: Germany, Belarus, the United Arab Emirates, Bulgaria, the United Kingdom, Israel, Iran, Italy, Kazakhstan, China, Russia, Romania, Türkiye, Uzbekistan, the Czech Republic, and South Korea.

Germany, Italy, Uzbekistan, and Türkiye have organized national pavilions, showcasing the latest innovations and products from their respective industries. For the 2026 edition, the Italian Trade Agency has already confirmed its plans to organize a national pavilion, highlighting the continued interest of Italian companies in Azerbaijan’s rapidly expanding construction sector.

Industry Context

Azerbaijan’s construction sector is one of the most dynamic and strategically important areas of the national economy. The country is undergoing intense expansion in both residential and infrastructure development, with the construction sector currently representing 6.3% of Azerbaijan’s GDP. This growth is driven by large-scale public investments in infrastructure and the extensive reconstruction programs in the liberated territories of Karabakh.

The demand for modern construction materials, innovative technologies, and high-quality interior solutions is creating significant opportunities for international companies. BakuBuild serves as the primary gateway for foreign businesses seeking to enter the Azerbaijani and broader Caspian region markets.

Business Programme

The exhibition features a comprehensive business programme designed to facilitate knowledge exchange and commercial partnerships. Key events include:

  • Case sessions on integrating modern construction standards in liberated territories
  • Panel discussions on architectural policy and cultural heritage preservation
  • Sessions on innovation and new trends in construction
  • B2B and B2G meetings for exhibitors and invited companies
  • Urban planning dialogues on the future of city development in Azerbaijan

The programme includes simultaneous translation in Azerbaijani and English, ensuring accessibility for international participants.
