Azerbaijan’s Flagship International Defence Exhibition

ADEX is the Azerbaijan International Defence Exhibition, the largest and most authoritative specialized defence industry event in the Caucasus region and a key platform for international military-technical cooperation. Held biennially in Baku, ADEX showcases the strength and technological potential of Azerbaijan’s defence-industrial complex while bringing together leading global defence companies, government delegations, and industry professionals.

Event Details

The 6th Azerbaijan International Defence Exhibition (ADEX 2026) will take place from 30 September to 2 October 2026 at the Baku Expo Center in Baku, Azerbaijan. The exhibition is held on the initiative and with the organizational support of the Ministry of Defence Industry of the Republic of Azerbaijan, with the support of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The organizer is Caspian Event Organisers.

ADEX runs in parallel with Securex Caspian, the International Exhibition for Internal Security, Safety, and Rescue Equipment, creating a comprehensive platform that brings together the defence industry and internal security sectors in a single venue.

Exhibition Focus Areas

ADEX covers the principal areas of the defence industry, including:

  • Aviation and unmanned systems
  • Radio-electronic equipment
  • C4ISR technologies
  • Modern weapons and ammunition
  • Military equipment and combat vehicles
  • Optoelectronic equipment and systems

At ADEX 2026, visitors will see new developments including small arms, kamikaze and surveillance drones, kamikaze robots, ammunition, and artillery systems.

Record-Breaking Scale in 2026

ADEX 2026 is set to be the largest edition in the exhibition’s history. More than 270 companies from 29 countries have confirmed participation in ADEX and Securex Caspian combined. The exhibition is expanding to use Pavilion 5 of the Baku Expo Center for the first time, marking a new stage in its development and reflecting growing international interest.

For the first time, Pavilion 4 will be entirely dedicated to Azerbaijan’s national exhibition, designed to showcase the strength of the country’s defence-industrial complex, its production capabilities, and technological potential in a comprehensive manner.

Turkey will have the widest representation among participating countries. The United States, Germany, and the United Kingdom will have significant participation, with major companies such as Northrop Grumman, Lockheed Martin, SIG SAUER, Rheinmetall, Rohde & Schwarz, and BAE Systems making their debuts or expanding their presence.

International Participation and National Pavilions

Fourteen countries will be represented with national pavilions: Azerbaijan, Belarus, the United Kingdom, the Czech Republic, China, Israel, Italy, Pakistan, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, Turkey, the United States, and Uzbekistan.

In addition to Azerbaijan, companies from the following countries will have stands at the exhibitions: Belarus, Belgium, Bulgaria, Brazil, the United Kingdom, Hungary, Germany, Spain, Italy, China, Lithuania, the United Arab Emirates, Pakistan, Poland, Russia, Romania, Serbia, Singapore, Slovakia, the United States, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, France, the Czech Republic, and South Korea.

Among traditional international participants are Roketsan, Aselsan, Baykar, Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI), and Havelsan from Turkey, Leonardo from Italy, CSG from the Czech Republic, EDGE Group from the United Arab Emirates, and INDRA from Spain.

Official Delegations

A total of 45 foreign delegations from 33 countries have registered to participate in ADEX 2026. Countries represented include Afghanistan, Bahrain, Belarus, the United Kingdom, Vietnam, Georgia, Israel, Jordan, Iraq, Italy, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Malaysia, Morocco, Nigeria, the United Arab Emirates, Pakistan, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Northern Cyprus, Serbia, Slovakia, Sudan, the United States, Turkmenistan, Turkey, Uganda, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Montenegro, the Czech Republic, and South Korea.

The main purpose of high-level delegation participation is to familiarize themselves with the latest defence industry innovations, discuss cooperation opportunities, and establish new partnerships. Meetings are planned with representatives of relevant Azerbaijani state structures, local and foreign defence industry companies, manufacturers, and exhibition participants.

Roketsan (Turkey) is the general sponsor of ADEX 2026, while Northrop Grumman (United States) is the sponsor in the “Partner Country” category.

Historical Context

The first ADEX exhibition was established in 2014. Over the past decade, the exhibition has brought together numerous companies and nearly 200 official delegations representing more than 50 countries worldwide. More than 30,000 visitors have attended the event during these years.

Since the early years of ADEX, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has personally visited the exhibition, familiarized himself with its exposition, and addressed official greeting letters to its participants and guests. This demonstrates the high status of the exhibition and the trust it commands at the highest state level.

The 5th Anniversary ADEX in 2024 attracted approximately 270 companies from 38 countries, with 14 national pavilions and 53 official delegations from 27 countries. The Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan participated with its own stand for the first time in 2024.

Business Programme

The event programme includes business meetings, bilateral encounters, and contacts between authorities, official delegations, and companies, creating opportunities for technological cooperation and the development of new partnerships in the defence sector. ADEX serves as an effective platform for showcasing advanced technologies, strengthening international cooperation, and fostering the development of Azerbaijan’s defence industry.
