UzAgroExpo

Uzbekistan’s Flagship Agricultural Exhibition

UzAgroExpo is the largest and most influential agricultural exhibition in Uzbekistan, serving as a comprehensive B2B platform for the country’s agri-industrial complex. Held annually in Tashkent, the event brings together farmers, agribusiness representatives, technology suppliers, and public authorities from across Central Asia and beyond.

Event Overview

The XXI International UzAgroExpo-2026 is scheduled for November 17–19, 2026, at the Uzexpocentre NEC in Tashkent. The exhibition is organized by IEG Uzbekistan (International Expo Group) with official support from the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Tashkent city administration.

UzAgroExpo has been held annually since 2004, establishing itself as the country’s national agricultural event. The exhibition is co-located with UzProdExpo, a food processing and packaging machinery exhibition, allowing visitors to access both events with shared resources and exhibition space.

Scale and Participation

According to official figures, UzAgroExpo 2026 is expected to occupy an exhibition area of 22,000 square meters. The event anticipates 405 to 500 exhibitors and 19,000 to 60,000 professional visitors, with most sources citing around 19,000 attendees.

Visitor demographics are highly qualified: over 80% of professional visitors hold decision-making authority for equipment procurement, annual input orders, project tenders, or regional distribution partnerships. The audience includes large-scale farms, commercial agricultural enterprises, livestock operations, agricultural input importers, and engineering contractors from across Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan.

Key Product Sectors

UzAgroExpo covers the full agricultural value chain through several specialized sections:

Agricultural Machinery and Equipment: Tractors, combine harvesters, seeding and tillage equipment, crop protection sprayers, cotton harvesting machinery, harvest transport trailers, and spare parts including engines, hydraulics, and tires.

Irrigation and Greenhouse Technology: Drip and sprinkler irrigation systems, water-fertilizer integration systems, greenhouse structures and covering materials, climate control and lighting equipment, and soil testing instruments.

Agrochemistry and Plant Protection: Seeds and seedlings for grains, fruits, vegetables, and cotton; organic and compound fertilizers; biological fertilizers; pesticides and plant protection products; and soil conditioners.

Livestock and Feed Solutions: Ventilation and climate control systems for livestock housing, feeding and watering systems, milking and incubation equipment, complete feed processing lines, feed additives, veterinary medicines, and animal health products.

Poultry and Modern Farming: Equipment and technologies for poultry production, modern farm management solutions, and related services.

Post-Harvest and Processing: Grain drying, cleaning, and silo storage equipment; pre-processing machinery for grains, oils, fruits, and vegetables; and cold chain preservation equipment.

Digital Agriculture: IoT sensors for farmland, farm management software, and precision agriculture digital systems.

Market Context

Uzbekistan is Central Asia’s most populous country, with approximately 34 million residents. Agriculture remains a central pillar of the economy, contributing roughly one-quarter of GDP and playing a vital role in employment and regional development. Due to arid climatic conditions, over 85% of agricultural land is irrigated, making efficient water management critically important.

While cotton and wheat remain major crops, Uzbekistan is diversifying toward fruit, vegetable, and livestock production. The country produces over 20 million tons of fruits and vegetables annually, but only 10–15% is processed domestically. Limited cooling and storage capacity—around 1 million tons, sufficient for only about 5% of the harvest—creates strong demand for processing equipment, packaging solutions, refrigeration technology, and modern cold chain and logistics systems.

Livestock accounts for roughly 40% of total agricultural production, with about 95% of livestock held by private farms. This creates growing demand for modern feeding systems, breeding technologies, housing facilities, and animal health solutions.

The AgriStar Award

A significant feature of the exhibition is the AgriStar Award, an innovation competition recognizing pioneering developments in agriculture, livestock farming, agri-IT applications, and science. An international jury of independent experts evaluates entries and presents Gold and Silver awards. Products, solutions, and findings from fields including agricultural machinery, livestock farming, operating materials (seeds, fertilizers, plant protection), automation and robotics, drones, conveying and logistics, laboratory technology, biotechnology, and environmental technology are eligible for consideration.

The award is intended to highlight new developments and solutions and support their communication within the professional community.

Professional Program

UzAgroExpo is complemented by a strong professional program featuring specialized conferences and business events with international speakers and industry experts. Topics include innovation, productivity growth, and export development. The event attracts representatives of ministries, government agencies, and sectoral associations from all regions of Uzbekistan, as well as VIP delegations and key buyers from leading agricultural and food-processing companies.

Co-located events include the International Poultry Forum Uzbekistan and the National Farmers’ Forum, alongside breeding livestock auctions and specialized programs on agricultural drones and artificial intelligence.

Why It Matters

For international companies, UzAgroExpo provides a strategic entry point into a market undergoing significant agricultural modernization. Uzbekistan actively promotes agricultural transformation, continuously upgrading agricultural machinery, greenhouse facilities, and irrigation systems. Domestic supply of high-end agricultural equipment remains insufficient, creating substantial import demand.

The exhibition is held in November, coinciding with the post-harvest period when farms and agricultural groups plan the following year’s machinery updates, greenhouse construction, and input procurement—making it an optimal timing for business engagement.

For Chinese enterprises in particular, competitive advantages exist in tractors and seeding equipment, plant protection machinery and sprayers, drip and sprinkler irrigation systems, flour and grain processing equipment, and livestock and milking systems. Local buyers prioritize equipment adaptability to Central Asia’s arid climate and soil conditions, availability of localized after-sales service and spare parts, and alignment with Uzbekistan’s agricultural modernization and import substitution strategies.

Those interested in exhibiting or visiting should contact the organizer, IEG Uzbekistan, for current participation terms, booth availability, and registration requirements, as dates and details are subject to confirmation.
