Uzbekistan has emerged as one of Central Asia’s most dynamic exhibition markets, driven by an ambitious economic reform agenda and a strategic location at the crossroads of historic trade routes. The capital, Tashkent, serves as the undisputed hub for these events, with two primary venues—the Uzexpocentre NEC and the newer Central Asian Expo (CAEx)—hosting a dense calendar of international trade fairs that attract thousands of professionals from across the region and beyond.

These exhibitions are more than just showcases; they are strategic platforms where multi-million-dollar contracts are signed, international partnerships are forged, and industry trends are set. Here is a look at some of the largest and most influential exhibitions defining Uzbekistan’s business landscape.

Construction and Interiors: UzBuild

UzBuild, the Uzbekistan International Construction Exhibition, stands as the flagship event for the construction industry in Central Asia. Organized by Iteca Exhibitions in partnership with ICA Eurasia Group, this annual gathering has grown into the region’s largest construction and interior trade fair.

The scale of UzBuild is substantial. The 2026 edition, held from February 10–12, brought together 450 companies from 22 countries, including national pavilions from Germany, Turkey, and Russia. For the first time in Uzbekistan’s history, the exhibition expanded across two venues—Uzexpocentre NEC and CAEx Uzbekistan—with a total gross exhibition area of 20,000 square meters. The event attracted over 11,000 professional visitors from 21 countries.

UzBuild’s authority in the region is further cemented by its UFI-approved status, a certification awarded only after rigorous independent audits of visitor and exhibitor statistics. The exhibition covers twelve specialized sectors, from building materials and windows to elevators and construction equipment, with a dedicated BuildTech section highlighting the latest construction machinery and technologies.

Running concurrently with UzBuild is Woodtech & MebelExpo Uzbekistan, the country’s main international event for the furniture and woodworking industries. This exhibition provides domestic manufacturers with direct access to modern technologies, raw materials, and components, while showcasing finished furniture for both residential and office environments.

Food Industry: UzFood

UzFood, the International Exhibition on Food, Ingredients and Food Technologies, is Uzbekistan’s flagship food industry event and one of the most established trade fairs in the country. Celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2026, UzFood has evolved into a comprehensive showcase spanning the entire food value chain, from ingredients and processing technologies to finished products and packaging.

The 2026 edition set record numbers, occupying over 14,000 square meters and bringing together 529 companies from 26 countries. The event attracted nearly 15,000 industry visits, with Germany, Belarus, South Korea, Poland, and Russia hosting national pavilions. The food processing and packaging equipment sectors represented the largest exhibitor segments, reflecting Uzbekistan’s push to modernize its agricultural processing capabilities and increase exports of value-added products.

A distinctive feature of UzFood is its Retail Procurement Centre, a platform designed to facilitate direct negotiations between food suppliers and retail chain buyers. The 2026 edition expanded this format significantly, with the debut participation of Russian retail chains broadening prospects for international trade development. The German national pavilion was a particular highlight, with 18 leading companies presenting technologies for shock freezing, freeze-drying, and modern logistics—aligning with the government’s strategy to boost high-value food exports to $3.5 billion.

Held alongside UzFood is O’ZuPACK, the International Exhibition of Packaging, Equipment and Materials, which presents the complete packaging value chain from machinery to finished packaging solutions.

Agriculture: AgroWorld Uzbekistan

AgroWorld Uzbekistan is the country’s premier agricultural exhibition, held annually at the Uzexpocentre in Tashkent. Scheduled for March 25–27 in 2026, this 21st edition brings together agricultural machinery manufacturers, agrochemical suppliers, seed companies, and livestock equipment providers from across the region.

The exhibition’s timing reflects agriculture’s critical importance to Uzbekistan’s economy. As a major producer of cotton, wheat, fruits, and vegetables, the country relies on events like AgroWorld to modernize its agricultural sector through exposure to international best practices and technologies. The event attracts a diverse audience of farmers, agribusiness professionals, and government officials involved in agricultural policy and development.

Energy and Industry: UzEnergyExpo and Industrial Exhibitions

UzEnergyExpo, organized by International Expo Group, is one of the largest energy exhibitions in the region. The 20th edition is scheduled for October 20–22, 2026, at the Uzexpocentre. The exhibition covers the full spectrum of the energy sector: traditional power engineering, renewable energy sources, energy-saving technologies, electrical engineering, lighting technologies, and cable products.

The event is particularly significant given Uzbekistan’s ambitious renewable energy program. The country possesses a combined renewable energy potential estimated at over 2,000 billion kWh—thirty times its annual consumption—and has attracted $2.1 billion in direct foreign investment to the sector, with projects worth another $13 billion under implementation. UzEnergyExpo serves as a critical platform for international companies seeking to participate in this energy transition.

UzEnergyExpo is held in conjunction with UzStroyExpo, creating a combined exposition that brings together the energy and construction sectors. The 2026 edition is expected to feature over 150 exhibitors from 10 countries, with particularly strong participation from China, as well as national stands from Iran and collective stands from several Russian regions.

Oil and Gas: OGU

The Oil and Gas of Uzbekistan (OGU) exhibition and conference is the largest annual event for professionals in the country’s oil and gas industry. The 28th edition is scheduled for May 12–14, 2026, at CAEx Uzbekistan in Tashkent.

OGU serves as a meeting place for leading experts in the fuel and energy complex, including heads of relevant ministries and departments, manufacturers, and consumers. The event features the latest industry developments, trend reports, and presentations from young scientists, while also serving as a venue for signing memorandums, agreements, and contracts on further cooperation. The exhibition covers 10,516 square meters and is expected to attract 275 participating companies from 29 countries.

Automotive and Aftermarket: Automechanika Tashkent

Automechanika Tashkent brings the globally recognized Automechanika brand to Central Asia. Scheduled for October 21–23, 2026, at the CAEx International Exhibition Center, this event is the leading platform for the automotive industry in one of the world’s most dynamically developing markets.

The 2025 edition featured 489 participants from 15 countries and attracted 20,728 visitors across 10,000 square meters of exhibition space. The exhibition covers the full automotive aftermarket spectrum: engine and transmission parts, chassis and braking systems, body components, electronics, diagnostic equipment, oils and lubricants, tires and wheels, and car wash and detailing solutions.

Automechanika Tashkent is held in parallel with two complementary events: Eurasian Construction Technology Tashkent and the Tashkent International Auto Show, creating a comprehensive automotive and construction technology platform.

Healthcare: TIHE

The Tashkent International Healthcare Exhibition (TIHE) is Central Asia’s leading hub for medical technologies. The 30th anniversary edition, scheduled for April 28–30, 2026, holds UFI-Approved Event status, recognizing its compliance with international exhibition quality standards.

TIHE brings together medical equipment manufacturers, pharmaceutical companies, healthcare service providers, and medical professionals from across the region. The exhibition serves as a critical platform for introducing modern medical technologies to Uzbekistan’s healthcare system, which is undergoing significant modernization as part of the country’s broader development strategy.

Mining and Metallurgy: UzMiningExpo and UzMetalMashExpo

Uzbekistan’s rich mineral resources make mining and metallurgy key sectors for international trade fairs. UzMiningExpo, the International Exhibition of Mining Technologies and Equipment, and UzMetalMashExpo, covering metallurgy, metalworking, mechanical engineering, and welding, are held concurrently at the Uzexpocentre.

These exhibitions attract equipment manufacturers, technology providers, and service companies targeting Uzbekistan’s substantial mining and metallurgical complex. The events provide a platform for showcasing innovations in extraction technologies, processing equipment, and industrial automation.

Complementing these is UzChemPlastExpo, the International Exhibition of Chemistry, Plastics, Laboratory and Analysis, which serves the chemical and plastics industries.

A Platform for Regional Trade: Silk Road Expo

The Silk Road Expo, organized by China’s Huahe International with support from China’s Ministry of Commerce, represents a significant new addition to Uzbekistan’s exhibition landscape. The 9th edition, scheduled for September 2–4, 2026, at CAEx Uzbekistan, marks the first time this event is held in Uzbekistan.

The exhibition covers eight key economic directions: intelligent manufacturing, digital technologies and trade, green energy and ecology, automotive industry and parts, medicine and pharmaceuticals, construction and furniture, agriculture and agrotechnologies, and light industry and consumer goods. Its B2B meeting format is designed to facilitate direct business contacts between Uzbek companies and foreign manufacturers and suppliers, while helping international participants explore opportunities in the Central Asian market.

Uzbekistan’s exhibition industry reflects the country’s broader economic transformation. From the established authority of UzBuild and UzFood to newer platforms like Automechanika Tashkent and the Silk Road Expo, these events serve as essential gateways to the Central Asian market. For international companies seeking to enter Uzbekistan or expand their regional presence, participation in these large-scale exhibitions remains one of the most effective strategies for building relationships, understanding market dynamics, and securing business partnerships in one of the world’s most promising emerging economies.
