Where Apparel Innovation Takes Center Stage
In an industry defined by rapid technological change and shifting supply chain dynamics, Texprocess Americas has emerged as the premier event for the sewn products sector. Co-produced by the Sewn Products Equipment & Suppliers of the Americas (SPESA) and Messe Frankfurt, this biennial gathering serves as a critical meeting point for brands, retailers, manufacturers, and innovators across the Western Hemisphere.
The Premier Event for Sewn Products
The next edition of Texprocess Americas is scheduled for May 11–13, 2027, at Atlanta’s Georgia World Congress Center. The event is held every two years, with the 2025 edition having taken place May 6–8. It is co-located with Techtextil North America, creating a comprehensive showcase spanning both technical textiles and finished sewn products.
The event is described as one of the largest of its kind in the U.S., drawing participants from across the manufacturing ecosystem, including government representatives and academic institutions.
What Makes Texprocess Americas Unique
A Focus on the Americas Supply Chain
Unlike purely global events, Texprocess Americas places a deliberate spotlight on manufacturing capabilities within the United States, Canada, Mexico, and the CAFTA-DR region. As SPESA president Michael McDonald noted, “You’ll leave Atlanta with a better understanding of how to build soft goods in the US, Canada, Mexico, and CAFTA-DR regions.”
The event provides invaluable insight into the upstream and downstream supply chains that exist across the Americas, helping businesses adapt and grow within their respective markets.
The Supply Chain USA Showcase
One of the most compelling features of recent editions has been the Supply Chain USA Pavilion. In 2025, the SEAMS association curated a boutique-style gallery demonstrating that complex products can still be made in America when the supply chain works together.
The exhibit featured more than 25 finished products—from activewear and outdoor apparel to military gear and bedding—created through the collaboration of nearly 70 SEAMS members across fiber, yarn, fabric, trim, cut-and-sew, equipment, and software.
Visitors walked through the space like a museum, viewing garments up close, handling raw materials, and tracing how multiple member companies contributed to a single finished product. The pavilion became a living case study in collaboration, demonstrating both capability and confidence at a time when reshoring and domestic production remain front and center.
The Technology on Display
Texprocess Americas covers the entire value-added chain in the development of sewn products. Key product categories include:
CAD/CAM and Design Innovation
From 2D/3D/4D design software to Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solutions, the event showcases the digital tools shaping modern apparel development.
Cutting-Edge Cutting and Sewing Technology
The show floor features industrial sewing machines spanning lockstitch, chain stitch, and overedge varieties, alongside automated cutting and separating equipment. Manufacturers like Dürkopp Adler have used the event to debut major innovations, including the fully digitized 910 CNC small-field sewing unit and the world’s first CNC sewing unit with a rotating sewing mechanism, the 911Revolve, designed for automotive interiors and high-quality leather goods.
Joining and Fastening Technologies
The exhibition encompasses welding presses, fusing equipment, ultrasonic and laser technology, along with adhesives, tapes, and fasteners such as buttons, zippers, and hook-and-loop closures.
Finishing and Beyond
Steam dummies, tunnel finishers, digital printing inkjet systems, and AI-driven visual inspection systems round out the comprehensive technology showcase.
A Partnership Built for the Long Term
The collaboration between SPESA and Messe Frankfurt to produce Texprocess Americas began in 2010, with the inaugural event held in April 2012. The partnership was extended in 2017 to run through 2032, underscoring the long-term commitment to serving the sewn products industry across the Americas.
A Hub for Collaboration and Growth
Texprocess Americas is more than a trade show—it is a catalyst for innovation and collaboration. As SPESA chairman Mark Hatton emphasized, “In just three days, you’ll learn about new and existing tools necessary to build competitive production capabilities. You’ll learn how and where to invest, strategically. You’ll be introduced to some of the industry’s most disruptive players, who are committed to manufacturing in the Western Hemisphere.”
For professionals across the sewn products industry—from design and sourcing to cutting, sewing, and finishing—Texprocess Americas remains the essential event for understanding the technologies and partnerships shaping the future of apparel manufacturing in the Americas.
