RE+ Northeast

The Largest Clean Energy Forum in the Northeast

RE+ Northeast is the premier annual gathering for clean energy professionals in the northeastern United States. Powered by the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA) and the Smart Electric Power Alliance (SEPA), the event serves as the largest forum dedicated to the integration of solar, energy storage, wind energy, and electric vehicle infrastructure across the region. Its mission is to provide the tools, experience, and expertise to enhance innovation, policy, regulation, and business opportunities in this dynamic market.

Key 2027 Event Details

The 2027 edition of RE+ Northeast is scheduled to take place from February 2–4, 2027, at the Thomas M. Menino Convention and Exhibition Center in Boston, Massachusetts.

This follows the 2026 event, which was held from February 3–5, 2026, at the same venue.

  • Solar PV design and installation
  • Battery energy storage systems (BESS)
  • EV infrastructure development
  • Microgrids and grid modernization
  • Policy and regulatory affairs

What to Expect: Exhibition, Education, and Networking

Exhibition Floor

The 2026 exhibition hosted over 200 companies and approximately 4,000 attendees, focusing on the deployment of solar and storage technologies across the Northeast. The exhibit floor featured a range of energy storage products for residential, commercial, and utility-scale applications, alongside revenue-grade metering and grid integration solutions.

Educational Programming

The event’s educational program addresses the regulatory and technical hurdles of grid modernization. Key topics at recent editions have included:

  • NEC 2026 code updates for renewables
  • Implementation of virtual power plants (VPPs)
  • Ratemaking and compensation structures for distributed energy resources
  • Interconnection reform and storage deployment in urban environments
  • Agrivoltaics, land use, and community engagement
  • Long-duration storage and microgrids for grid resilience

Speakers have included experts from NYSERDA, National Grid, and ISO-NE.

Networking

Networking is a central feature, with unique events such as welcome receptions at Harpoon Brewery and interactive receptions at Puttshack facilitating meaningful connections in relaxed settings. SEIA also hosts exclusive member networking events, including a reception at Legal Sea Foods Harborside.

SEIA & SEPA: Powering the Industry

A unique aspect of RE+ Northeast is that all event proceeds support SEIA and SEPA’s year-round research, education, and advocacy efforts to expand the clean energy industry. This means registering for the event directly funds the associations’ work. Members of SEIA and SEPA also receive discounts to attend.
