Moscow Dive Show 2026

Moscow Dive Show 2026

The largest exhibition in Russia and Eastern Europe of equipment for all “underwater” and “water” people – diving, spearfishing, freediving, underwater photography, yachting, surfing and SUP, water tourism, as well as equipment for swimming and beach recreation.

From February 19 to 22, 2026, the Russian capital will host the Moscow Dive Show, the largest exhibition in Russia and Eastern Europe for underwater and water sports. Far more than a trade fair, this four-day event is an annual pilgrimage for the “water people”—a diverse community of divers, freedivers, underwater hunters, yachtsmen, and anyone captivated by the deep.

A Historic Venue: Gostiny Dvor

After years of evolution, the show returns to one of its spiritual homes. The 2026 edition will be held at the prestigious Gostiny Dvor, a stone’s throw from the Kremlin. This architectural masterpiece, with its massive glass roof covering a 12,000-square-meter atrium, offers a unique and atmospheric setting. The vast, open space allows for the full-scale display of everything from dive computers to full-sized sailboats, creating an immersive environment that is both grand and intimate.

The Theme for 2026: In the Realm of Giants

This year, the exhibition’s cultural and educational program dives deep with a captivating theme: “The Big Underwater” (Большие подводные). The spotlight will be on the ocean’s largest inhabitants—whales, sperm whales, sharks, and dugongs. Renowned speakers, including world-record-breaking freedivers and marine biologists, will share incredible stories of encounters with these majestic creatures, showcase stunning photography, and discuss the latest in cetacean research. Among the featured legends are Alexey Molchanov, the multiple world champion and current world record holder in freediving, and Alexander Kusakin, a world champion and pioneer of parafreediving in Russia, who set a record dive to 53 meters with prosthetic legs.

More Than Just Scuba: A Universe of Water Activities

The Moscow Dive Show has always been about uniting all facets of an aquatic lifestyle. The exhibition floor is meticulously structured to reflect the diverse interests of its visitors, which range from technical diving to surface sports.

  • The Dive Travel Market: A significant portion of the hall is dedicated to tourism, with nearly half of the exhibition space featuring hotels, dive centers, and liveaboards. As per visitor surveys, Egypt remains the overwhelming favorite, chosen by 52% of Russian divers in 2024, followed by the Maldives at 16%. Attendees can meet directly with representatives from top Egyptian resorts and Maldivian liveaboard fleets like Fuvahmulah Dive School and Seawolf Diving Safari, often securing exclusive show discounts on week-long safaris starting from as low as USD 900 for the Red Sea.
  • The Watersports Salon (WATERSPORTSALON): Reflecting the growing crossover between underwater and surface sports, a dedicated area showcases yachting, surfing, SUP, and kayaking. Here, visitors can explore real racing boats, learn how to become a skipper, and discover the latest in wind-powered adventure.
  • Commercial and Technical Diving: A special “Diver Project” zone highlights the serious side of the profession, featuring gear and discussions for commercial and military divers, rescue specialists, and underwater engineers.

The Ultimate Marketplace and Cultural Hub

For many, the Moscow Dive Show is the premier shopping event of the year. It’s a place where enthusiasts can find unique, high-end gear rarely seen in regular stores—from custom carbon-fiber freediving fins to handmade wooden spearguns. Major brands and local manufacturers use the platform to launch new collections and clear previous stock, offering the season’s best deals.

Beyond the stands, the show is packed with non-stop activities:

  • The Giant Underwater Photo Exhibition: Russia’s largest display of underwater photography will feature stunning images of macro life, wrecks, and large marine animals, curated from professionals and amateurs alike. Many works are available for purchase.
  • The “Gift Hour”: A legendary Saturday evening event where a massive prize draw takes place. With a simple entry via their ticket, attendees can win everything from a dive mask to a dream trip for two to the Maldives.
  • A Gastronomic Journey: The Wild Delicacies Fair transforms the venue into a gourmet paradise. Visitors can sample fresh oysters, sea urchins, scallops, smoked fish, and other wild-caught delicacies, ensuring no one leaves hungry.
  • Family Fun: The show is welcoming to the next generation of water lovers. A dedicated “Microscope Island” allows children to examine tiny sea creatures under scientific guidance, while various booths offer kids’ courses in diving and custom wetsuit fittings.

A Vital Industry Hub

Since its founding in 2003, the Moscow Dive Show has evolved into a critical B2B platform, especially for the Russian and CIS markets. In 2025, the event attracted over 20,500 visitors, with more than 35% coming from outside Moscow. For international brands from China, Turkey, Egypt, and beyond, it is the most effective gateway to reach distributors, retailers, and a passionate consumer base in the region.
