Members of the publishing and creative industries gather at the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair to read, learn, and develop. It is a hub of opportunities where like-minded people can meet, form partnerships, learn about the newest trends, and develop their passions. It is more than just a fair.
In order to realize the vision of the late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the founding father of the United Arab Emirates, the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair was first introduced as the Islamic Book Fair in 1981.
The fundamental tenet of the fair is that culture and education serve as the cornerstones of a robust, developed nation. Since its founding, it has developed into a gathering place for publishing houses worldwide to exchange concepts and tales.
The Abu Dhabi International Book Fair uses a variety of traditional and digital publishing media to draw the most active content creators, creatives, and readers in the region. Year after year of success has cemented its standing as a regional and international industry mainstay in the publishing sector.
