Sustainable Tourism Days 2025 Bern, Switzerland
October 15th – 16th, 2025

Sustainable Tourism Days Bern

The Competence Centre for Sustainability (KONA) of the Swiss Tourism Federation is pleased to invite you to the Sustainable Tourism Days. The focus will be on active knowledge exchange and networking around tourism sustainability. The Sustainable Tourism Days 2025 are specifically aimed at professionals active in the fields of tourism and sustainable development. The aim is to network stakeholders from inbound tourism, outbound tourism and international cooperation as well as sustainability experts.

During the first edition of the Sustainable Tourism Days, the focus was on cooperation in the field of tourism (“Together for sustainable tourism”), this year, with “Creating the paths to sustainability”, the focus is clearly on the concrete implementation of measures and projects in order to jointly advance the sustainable development of tourism. There are many starting points and many possibilities for making the tourism sector more sustainable and inclusive – this is what this year’s theme wants to illustrate.

The Sustainable Tourism Days are designed as a two-day event at the BERNEXPO site in Bern. Day tickets are available in limited numbers in case participation on both days is not possible. A varied programme will be offered with two keynotes, two round tables, several workshops and information sessions, during which participants will be able to explore current topics of ecological, social and economic sustainability in the most interactive way possible. Examples of good practice from Switzerland and abroad will show how sustainability in tourism can be implemented in practice. In addition to the plenary sessions, all participants can put together their own individual programme based on the information sessions and workshops offered.
