Around a community of book lovers and future readers, the Salon’s primary mission is to promote books and the pleasure of reading as cultural assets in Quebec society. The Salon du livre de Montréal highlights the essential role of authors, creators and artisans in the book world and thus contributes to promoting the diversity of regional, national and international publishing production. Finally, the Salon brings together and mobilizes creators, the professional book community and readers in Quebec, while providing places that promote creation, exchange and debate around the issues of our society. The values at the heart of our mission are sharing, diversity, inclusion and pleasure.
