International Premium Incentive Show

Japan’s Largest Trade Fair for Sales Promotional Products

The IPI is the country’s largest trade show focused on sales promotion products and marketing. It takes place semi-annually in the spring and fall and features 150 exhibiting companies, mostly manufacturers and trading firms. About 30,000 buyers, including corporate users, sales promotion agencies, advertising agencies, department stores (institutional customer section), and wholesale/retail, attend the show.

The general public is not permitted entry, as the show opens exclusively to trade buyers. Accessible only to experienced purchasers, business negotiations become more productive and efficient.
When asked if they were considering doing business with any of the companies at the show, 36.0% of visitors to the last IPI visitor survey said “yes,” and 49.5% said “yes, we’re looking into it,” as the pie graph illustrates. As a result, over 85% of visitors discovered items that met their needs or were at least worth looking at.

The targeted exhibits are diverse, encompassing not only premium and novelty products but also over-the-counter decorative signage/display related items, gift certificates, intangible merchandise, printing services, digital premium, and so on. Saying that everything pertaining to sales motion is present for the exhibits is not overstating the case.

The Show brings together direct gift sellers, corporate sales promotion executives, department stores, bulk-sales outlets, direct gift sellers, and other influential buyers in addition to advertising agencies that specialize in premium incentive marketing.
IPI stands apart from other shows thanks to the Show Organizer’s extremely effective visitor promotion.
The coordinator distributes over 300,000 invitations. Approximately 100,000 invitations are also sent out by exhibitors. Consequently, 400,000 invitations are actually sent out via postal mail. This must undoubtedly be a major incentive for exhibiting companies and could have a significant impact on visitor numbers.
