International Technical Textiles and Nonwovens Exhibition
HIGHTEX Exhibition is the largest gathering place for industry professionals, exhibitors, press, and visitors from the technical textiles and nonwovens sectors in the Middle East and Eastern Europe .
The first and only exhibition of its kind in Turkey is the HIGHTEX International Technical Textiles and Nonwovens Exhibition. HIGHTEX will take place concurrently with the ITM International Textile Machinery Exhibition. The most recent technological advancements in the technical textiles and nonwovens industry are showcased at the HIGHTEX Exhibition, which has been held annually since 2005 and has grown to be one of the most significant markets in the world today.
PRODUCT GROUPS
INDUSTRIAL TEXTILES
Industrial applications are where technical textiles are most widely used.
Factories always require technical textiles because of their unique textures, which are used in filtering and cleaning processes, and because they have features like being able to be transported on tape and categorized according to sizes.
Nonwoven filters, which have practically infinite applications, are highlighted by new environmental regulations. Nonwovens provide solutions for oil and gas filtration in addition to dust.
HOME / FURNITURE TEXTILES
The use of synthetic fibers in textiles for homes is also rising. Fabrics with fire retardant features are currently popular in home textiles.
Over the past ten years, the use of nonwovens at home has multiplied several times. Unwearable textile goods are used in many products, ranging from beds to kitchenware and bathroom equipment, carpet bottoms to furniture skeletons.
In addition, a few surprising and inventive products will be unveiled. For instance, from now on, special carpets will cover the walls.
AGRICULTURAL TEXTILES
More technical textile products are needed in the fishing, afforestation, and agricultural industries for collecting, preserving, and safeguarding. The use of nonwovens, particularly those made for agricultural and fish farming equipment, is rapidly declining in the agricultural textile sector. In research on afforestation and erosion control, agricultural textiles are utilized to transport plants and soil. Technical textiles that acclimate the environment are quickly replacing traditional plastic coverings in greenhouses.
GEO TEXTILES
Geotextiles is the production group that has grown at the fastest rate in recent years across all categories. The high consumption rate accelerates the return on the initial investment despite the restricted range of products.
Previously limited to industrialized nations, geotextiles are now preferred by all nations due to their lower costs and improved facilities. The unexpected need for geotextiles was brought about by the substructure investments made by developing countries.
Because they are more stable and isolated, geotextiles are replacing them in ground buildings. The need for geotextiles is only going to grow, so it makes sense for nations to produce these materials locally. The use of geotextiles has become mandatory in recent years, particularly in highway adjudications, which suggests that this market will see rapid growth.
BUILDING TEXTILES
Technical textiles and nonwovens are now used in a wider range of products than just isolation products. Nonwovens are now preferred over traditional filler materials due to their stability across various surfaces.
Because of their exceptional resistance to varying climate conditions, nonwovens are the preferred material in the building industry. Furthermore, the use of composite materials in earthquake-resistant building applications has increased recently. To boost the strength of ready-mix concrete, special fiber is added during mixing.
APPAREL TEXTILES
With further advanced features, linings, waddings, and interlinings—all of which have been widely used in textiles—continue to hold significance.
When compared to other categories, nonwovens and technical textiles in the apparel sector consistently attract high-profile clients.
High performance clothing, like sports and military wear, offers hope for the future with their advanced production engineering in this category, where woven products are heavily utilized.
The unexpected product in this category will be everyday clothing due to shifting costs and new technologies.
The growing use of nonwoven materials in the footwear and leather apparel industries due to their comfort and conditioning properties is another development.
FOOD TEXTILES
Nonwoven materials have become increasingly popular in food packaging in recent years. These products also come in edible forms.
Foods are transported using nonwovens that are easy to clean during production processes and to extend their shelf lives.
Great attention was paid to the first samples of technical textile products used for food heating, boiling, and serving as protective measures. Because they are a brand-new product group and have hygienic advantages, they are anticipated to grow at the quickest rate among food textiles.
COSMETICS / HYGIENE TEXTILES
With their new features, nonwoven products—which have long been used in cosmetics and personal care—are attracting the attention of consumers.
Consumer behavior changes as a result of higher disposable product quotas for hygiene and cosmetics. It is therefore expected that the sector will grow rapidly in tandem with rising production capacities.
Nonwovens are used in place of basic textile products for cleaning purposes in factories, offices, and other locations, both indoors and outdoors. This group will advance with products that are sensitive to liquid and powder.
MEDICAL / HYGIENE TEXTILES
The global population is growing at the same rate as the market for hygiene and health products. In medical procedures, there is a growing need for complex technical textiles that meet high standards. In parallel, markets in developing nations are seeing an increase in demand for medical textiles.
Given how quickly new products are being introduced, the market for hygienic textiles has the potential to grow exponentially.
TRANSPORT TEXTILES
The main purposes of technical textiles in the automotive industry were covering and isolation. Comfort and style are now priorities as well.
Sail tents and tent coverings for cars and trucks are evolving technologically to provide improved air resistance.
The transportation industry, which includes cars, trains, boats, and airplanes, is the largest market for technical textiles.
ECOLOGICAL TEXTILES
Despite being the category that is growing and developing the fastest overall, ecological textile products hold the smallest market share.
The category of ecological textile products covers a wide range of goods for covering toxic waste, preventing erosion, filtering smoke and dust, and other environmental protection applications. It also includes technical textiles.
High profits draw attention to ecological products. With the increasing sophistication of technical textiles in this sector, it will be feasible to filter various waste particles that previous environmental regulations have not addressed.
PACKAGING TEXTILES
Traditional jut, cotton, or natural fiber sacks and bags gradually give way to contemporary synthetic fibers.
The party packages offered by BigBag and FIBS, which have gained popularity recently, are constantly expanding in variety.
Nonwovens with light weight cases and heavy packages have also begun to appear in the paper market. Additionally, there is a growing market for knitted textile products in the consumer packaging industry.
PROTECTION TEXTILES
Nearly every industry sector favors industrial protection products.
The product line is expanding daily to include items like clothing, shoes, bandages, gloves, and materials that withstand extreme heat and cold.
Depending on customer demand, specialty products—such as water-resistant umbrellas or highly functional clothing—are now used on a daily basis in many places.
SPORTS TEXTILES
Comfortable, safe and performance-supporting sportswear, which is preferred by professional athletes, is now increasingly sought after by all athletes and amateurs. Increasing interest and participation in active sports worldwide has increased the use of technical textiles and nonwovens in sports equipment.
