Accelerating the energy transition in emerging markets
In order to address the strategic challenges of expediting the renewable energy transition in emerging markets, FMO and Solarplaza will host the “Future of Energy” summit in Amsterdam on February 29 and March 1, 2024. This event will bring together a diverse range of international participants, including top project developers, financial institutions and investors, service providers, and asset owners.
The successful transition of emerging markets and developing economies (EMDEs) to clean energy systems is critical to the future of global energy and climate. Accelerating the use of renewable energy can help EMDEs meet net-zero goals, improve their energy access and security, and become less dependent on fossil fuels. Presently, EMDEs receive a relatively small portion of global investments in clean energy.
For anyone taking on the challenge of developing and financing renewable energy projects in Asia, Africa, Latin America, and Eastern Europe, “Future of Energy” is an event they simply must attend. This fifth edition will cover renewables in a broad sense, which includes distributed energy, e-mobility, green hydrogen, hybrid (wind and solar) applications, energy storage, and grid infrastructure.
A year of business development will be condensed into two days of learning, networking, and good times with “Future of Energy Summit interactive panel discussions, networking opportunities, and world-class keynote speakers!
