Egypt has undergone significant transformations in recent years and is now gaining momentum and recognition as a lucrative destination for international mining investors. With ambitions to establish itself as a world-class trading hub for minerals and metals by 2040, the country aims to develop a green mining value chain based on sustainable and environmentally responsible mining practices.
Held under the theme ‘Building upon 120 years of geological discoveries for a decarbonised and sustainable future’ the Forum will drive the conversations on investment, policies and licensing, exploration, exploitation, technology adoption, plus human and infrastructure capacity building across the entire mining and minerals value chain to deliver the industry’s commitment to a more sustainable climate-conscious future.
The Forum will shed light on Egypt’s financing roadmap and how foreign investment and partnerships will be key drivers to unlocking value within the mining sector. Over 40 speakers will discuss these topics and more, providing the most significant meeting of regional and global stakeholders including mining majors and juniors, investors and government project owners from Africa and North Africa.
