QazPack

Kazakhstan’s Dedicated Platform for Packaging, Tare, Label and Printing

QazPack has established itself as the definitive professional exhibition for the packaging industry in Kazakhstan and Central Asia. Organized annually at the Atakent Exhibition Center in Almaty, the event brings together manufacturers, suppliers, and technology providers from across the packaging value chain, serving as a critical meeting point for an industry undergoing rapid modernization and expansion.

A Growing Market, A Growing Exhibition

The momentum behind QazPack reflects the broader transformation of Kazakhstan’s packaging sector. The industry is actively modernizing its production base, expanding capacity, and responding to growing demand for innovative and eco-friendly equipment and materials.

The 2025 edition of QazPack, held from November 12 to 14, demonstrated this upward trajectory. The exhibition featured 117 companies from 12 countries, including Azerbaijan, Germany, India, Iran, Kazakhstan, China, South Korea, Poland, Russia, Turkey, Uzbekistan, and Switzerland. Of these, 36 were domestic Kazakh companies and 81 were international participants, underscoring sustained global interest in the Kazakh market.

Exhibition Profile and Key Sections

QazPack covers the full spectrum of packaging production through dedicated sections including packaging manufacturing materials, finished packaging, equipment for packaging production, labeling and barcode equipment, label manufacturing equipment, and overprinting equipment.

The exhibition annually attracts the largest Kazakhstani and international manufacturers, confirming Kazakhstan’s strategic importance as a center for packaging industry development in Central Asia. Key exhibitors at recent editions have included suppliers of flexible, cardboard, and rigid packaging, labeling, printing, and corrugated production solutions.

Notable participants have included Neo Polis from Russia, one of the largest flexible packaging manufacturers, presenting over 20 types of eco-friendly materials; YANS from Kazakhstan, a leader in packaging supplies for HoReCa; TOKK from Russia, a major producer of closure products; and Data Vision from Kazakhstan, the largest integrator of industrial identification solutions. The technology sector has been represented by companies such as Arcon Industries, Keletech, Multivac, Storm Technology, and Unco-Jet, among others.

Industry Dialogue and Sustainability Focus

Beyond the exhibition floor, QazPack serves as a platform where the professional agenda of the sector is shaped. With support from the Kazakhstan Packaging Association, a specialized panel session in 2025 addressed the theme “Course towards sustainability: how to combine the packaging business and ecology — from trend to responsibility.”

Discussions covered innovations in eco-friendly packaging materials, practical steps by manufacturers to reduce environmental impact, the role of the state in shaping the ESG agenda, and evolving consumer expectations. Notably, research shared during the session indicated that 83% of consumers are willing to pay more for eco-friendly packaging, and products with sustainable characteristics demonstrate 7% higher revenue. The session concluded with a consensus that sustainability is becoming not merely a trend but a new norm for the industry.

Strategic Co-Location with FoodExpo Qazaqstan

A distinctive strength of QazPack is its concurrent holding with FoodExpo Qazaqstan, the largest food industry exhibition in Central Asia. This co-location creates powerful synergies between the food production sector and packaging suppliers, reflecting the intrinsic link between these industries.

The combined exhibitions have attracted significant participation. In 2025, FoodExpo Qazaqstan and QazPack together brought 529 companies from 34 countries to Almaty. This integrated platform enables packaging professionals to connect with decision-makers from food manufacturing, retail, and distribution—the very sectors that drive demand for packaging solutions.

Institutional Support and Organization

QazPack enjoys official support from the Akimat of Almaty and the Kazakhstan Packaging Association. The exhibition is organized by Kazakhstan exhibition company Iteca, a recognized leader in the Kazakh exhibition industry with over three decades of experience, in partnership with the ICA Events Group.

Looking Ahead: QazPack 2026

The 23rd Kazakhstan International Exhibition “Packaging, Tare, Label and Printing” is scheduled for November 11-13, 2026, at the Atakent Exhibition Center in Almaty. The 2026 edition will continue to serve as the entry point to Kazakhstan’s growing packaging market, offering exhibitors direct access to customers from across the country and the wider Central Asian region.

Participant Perspectives

Exhibitors consistently emphasize the value of QazPack as a business platform. Daniyar Mustafin, marketer at KZ Recycling, noted: “For us, QazPack is the ideal platform where we can meet with clients, showcase new opportunities, and demonstrate products. It is a cutting-edge platform where key trends in packaging are discussed, and valuable experience is exchanged. We participate here annually and will continue.”

Gurgen Ananyan, co-founder of Yans.kz, added: “We have been participating in the exhibition for the fifth year. The exhibition is lively, we meet many of our existing partners, many come from other countries, from neighboring ones, we met guests from Uzbekistan, from Kyrgyzstan, they come from Russia. We enjoy meeting old friends and also make new ones here.”

For packaging industry professionals across Central Asia, QazPack remains the essential annual gathering for discovering new technologies, forging partnerships, and shaping the future of the region’s packaging sector.
