AgroWorld Qazaqstan

AgroWorld Qazaqstan

AgroWorld Qazaqstan has established itself as the leading international exhibition for agriculture in Kazakhstan and Central Asia. For twenty years, the event has served as the definitive meeting point for industry leaders, manufacturers, and specialists from across the region and beyond, transforming agro-innovations into strong partnerships and tangible business outcomes.

A Strategic Platform for a Booming Sector

The exhibition’s importance is deeply tied to Kazakhstan’s agricultural momentum. The country’s agro-industrial sector is experiencing one of its most active investment periods in recent years. In the first half of 2026 alone, investment in fixed capital reached KZT 926 billion—a 55% increase year-on-year—with forecasts suggesting this could climb to KZT 2.2 trillion by year-end. Against this backdrop, AgroWorld Qazaqstan serves as the essential venue where this investment meets opportunity.

Held annually at the Atakent Exhibition Center in Almaty, the exhibition covers the full spectrum of agricultural production: crop production and greenhouse technologies, poultry and livestock farming, animal nutrition and health, agricultural machinery and infrastructure, as well as agro-processing and post-harvest storage solutions.

Record-Breaking 2025 Edition

The 2025 edition of AgroWorld Qazaqstan, held from October 29 to 31, demonstrated the event’s growing scale and international reach. The exhibition brought together 174 companies from 25 countries, occupying 4,437 square meters of exhibition space and attracting 2,152 industry leaders, buyers, and specialists.

Participating nations spanned the globe, including Austria, Belgium, Germany, Denmark, Israel, India, Italy, the Netherlands, China, Poland, Turkey, the United States, and Japan, among others. National stands from Germany, the Netherlands, and South Korea drew particular attention, alongside regional expositions from China and Russia. Notably, 33 companies participated for the first time, underscoring the growing trust in the Kazakhstani market from the international business community.

The visitor profile reflected the event’s high-level audience. A remarkable 64% of attendees held top management positions, while 96% personally make decisions on cooperation and procurement. The largest visitor groups were farming enterprises (44%), distributors and dealers (19%), and poultry farms (16%).

The Poultry Sector: A Story of Explosive Growth

One of the most striking developments at AgroWorld Qazaqstan has been the transformation of its poultry farming segment. Over the past five years, this section has quadrupled in size, mirroring the rapid expansion of the industry itself. Poultry meat production in Kazakhstan increased by 58% between 2020 and 2025—from 235,300 tonnes to 371,700 tonnes—while the share of domestically produced goods in the domestic market rose from 58% to 78%.

Today, the country has 32 meat-production enterprises with a combined capacity of 505,000 tonnes per year and 37 industrial egg-producing poultry farms. New investment projects, including a KZT 9 billion poultry farm in the Turkistan Region and a vertically integrated complex valued at KZT 52.9 billion, signal the sector’s continued expansion.

International Cooperation and the Dutch Partnership

The exhibition has long served as a catalyst for international collaboration. The Kingdom of the Netherlands has been a key strategic partner, with 28 Dutch companies participating in 2025, of which 14 presented a national exposition showcasing modern technologies in poultry farming, livestock, crop production, energy-efficient production, and digitalization.

A landmark moment during the 2025 exhibition was the signing of a Memorandum between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Kingdom of the Netherlands on October 30, establishing mutually beneficial cooperation in poultry farming, experience exchange, implementation of innovative solutions, and training of qualified industry specialists.

A Comprehensive Business Program

The exhibition is complemented by a robust business program designed to address the most pressing issues facing the sector. The 2025 edition featured 14 hours of industry sessions and business events with speakers from five countries.

Key events included the plenary session “Main Issues of the Agro-Industrial Complex in Central Asia: Challenges and Partnerships,” which brought together representatives of government structures, international organizations, and the private sector from four countries. The “Farmer School” practicum, a two-day industry workshop focused on dairy farming, gathered over 60 professionals for sessions on automation, herd management, genetics, and animal health. The seminar “Dutch Solutions and Innovations for the Poultry Business,” organized with the support of the Embassy of the Netherlands and the Dutch Poultry Centre, provided practical insights for industry professionals.

Institutional Support and Organization

AgroWorld Qazaqstan enjoys official support from the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Akimat of Almaty, and the Poultry Union of Kazakhstan. The event is organized by Kazakhstan’s exhibition company Iteca in partnership with ICA Events Group and IFWexpo Heidelberg GmbH.

Looking Ahead: The 20th Anniversary Edition

AgroWorld Qazaqstan 2026 will celebrate its 20th anniversary from October 28 to 30 at the Atakent Exhibition Center in Almaty. Over two decades, the project has brought together more than 4,000 companies from 30 countries and over 32,000 industry professionals.

The 2026 edition will continue to expand its international reach, with more than 180 companies from over 20 countries already confirmed. National pavilions will be presented by Germany, Georgia, the Netherlands, and South Korea, alongside regional stands from Russia. Leading agricultural brands including Amazone, Big Dutchman, Cargill, FAMSUN, Metzer, and others will present their latest solutions.

The anniversary program will place particular emphasis on fertilizers and improving crop production efficiency, alongside continued focus on automation, artificial intelligence, water conservation, modern genetics, and access to financing—reflecting the evolving needs of Kazakhstan’s agricultural sector as it moves from technology adoption toward market leadership.

Exhibitors and visitors consistently emphasize the exhibition’s value as a business platform. Azamat Baydavletov of Metzer Kazakhstan noted: “We have been participating since the first year of the exhibition and consider our presence here essential. AgroWorld is a strong platform for interaction, experience exchange, and annual renewal of our professional potential.”

Elena Chernyshova, Director of Feed Trade LLP, added: “This is an excellent platform where you can meet partners, exchange experiences, and discuss new cooperation opportunities. We definitely plan to visit the exhibition next year.”
